BTS was modest despite setting the milestone of “No. 1 baton touch for eight consecutive weeks.” The Grammy was their big ambition, but all the credit was given to ARMY fans.
BTS made a surprise appearance on SBS 8 News, which aired on the 24th, and talked with the anchor.
They remained at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for seven consecutive weeks from last month’s 5th to July 17th with their new song “Permission to Dance.” “It’s like a dream,” said leader RM. “I’m so grateful to ARMYs. I don’t know how we repay our fans.”
BTS recently was appointed to “U.N. special envoy for future generations and cultures” from the president of South Korea. RM said, “Whether it’s a cultural envoy or a U.N. General Assembly, if there’s anything we can do, we’ll do it for our country.”
