NewJeans entered the Billboard as soon as they debuted… “As expected, a global monster rookie!”

 

The new girl group NewJeans entered the US Billboard chart on the 10th, 8 days after their debut. 

The rookie girl group NewJeans has a strong sensation. As a rookie who had only been on stage for 10 days at the end of last month, they recorded the highest sales of a girl group debut album and even entered the US Billboard chart. 

They started pre-orders for their debut album ‘New Jeans’ on the 27th of last month and exceeded 440,000 pre-orders in just 4 days. 

They entered the US Billboard charts in 8 days, including the title song ‘Attention’, ‘Hype Boy’, ‘Cookie’, and ‘Hurt’ in the album. 

According to the latest chart released by Billboard on the 10th (Korean time), ‘Attention’ ranked 174th on ‘Billboard Global’ (excluding the US). It also topped the iTunes album charts in 9 regions including Thailand and Finland. 

They are a girl group first introduced by HYBE’s label, ADOR. 

In the past, CEO Min Hee-jin, well-known in the music industry, was in charge of the promotion process and brand marketing for top-star idol groups such as Girls’ Generation, SHINee, and EXO at SM Entertainment.
