ITZY successfully hosted the Los Angeles concert, the first concert in the U.S. on its first world tour.
The first overseas performance of ITZY’s first world tour “ITZY THE 1ST WORLD TOUR,” which opened splendidly at Seoul Olympic Park in August, was held at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles on the 26th (local time). ITZY announced the start of the performance with the title track “Mafia in the morning” of its mini-album “GUESS WHO,” which gave the honor of entering the Billboard main chart “Billboard 200,” and performed hot songs such as “DALLA DALLA”, “ICY”, “WANNABE”, “Not Shy”, “LOKO”, and “SEAKERS”. In particular, the English single “Boys Like You”, which was pre-released on the 21st, was released for the first time and made the audience excited.
Starting with Los Angeles on the 29th, Phoenix on the 29th, Dallas on November 1st, Sugarland on the 3rd, Atlanta on the 5th, Chicago on the 7th, Boston on the 10th, and New York on the 13th, all tickets were sold out. Thanks to their enthusiastic support, JYP Entertainment added four performances in four Asian cities, including Manila, Philippines on January 14, 2023, Singapore on January 28, Jakarta, Indonesia on February 4, and Bangkok, Thailand on April 8. As a result, ITZY will launch its first world tour with a total of 14 times in 13 cities and shine its presence as a “global trend girl group.”
Meanwhile, ITZY has captured the hearts of fans around the world and drawn a rising popularity curve based on its solid skills. He entered the US Billboard main chart “Billboard 200” with his fourth mini-album “GUESS WHO” released in April 2021, and proved a steep rise by ranking 11th on the chart with his first full-length album “CRAZY IN LOVE” in September. In July this year, the 5th mini-album “CHECKMATE” ranked 8th in the “Billboard 200,” breaking its own record and making its first “Top 10.”
