K-pop group ENHYPEN has reached a new career milestone with their latest album.
According to Billboard’s preview article released on the 21st (local time), ENHYPEN’s second full-length album, ‘ROMANCE : UNTOLD,’ which dropped on the 12th, has debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart dated July 27. The album achieved a remarkable 124,000 equivalent album units during its debut week, marking the group’s highest chart position to date.
The Billboard 200 rankings are determined by traditional album sales, streaming equivalent albums (SEA), and track equivalent albums (TEA). ‘ROMANCE : UNTOLD’ garnered 117,000 units from pure album sales and 7,000 units from SEA, showcasing the group’s strong physical sales and streaming performance.
This achievement marks ENHYPEN’s fourth entry into the Billboard 200 top 10. Previously, their mini-album ‘Orange Blood’ and mini-album ‘Dark Blood’ both peaked at No. 4, while their mini-album ‘Manifesto : Day 1’ reached No. 6.
Overall, ENHYPEN has placed seven albums on the Billboard 200, including their second mini-album ‘BORDER : CARNIVAL’ (No. 18), their first full-length album ‘DIMENSION : DILEMMA’ (No. 11), and the repackage of their first full-length album ‘DIMENSION : ANSWER’ (No. 13).
‘ROMANCE : UNTOLD’ also achieved impressive sales in South Korea, selling 2,344,749 copies in its first week (based on Hanteo Chart data from July 12 to July 18), making it ENHYPEN’s second double million-seller.
This week’s Billboard 200 chart is topped by American hip-hop icon Eminem with his 12th studio album, ‘The Death of Slim Shady,’ securing the No. 1 spot.
