Aespa’s hit song ‘Supernova’ has been crowned the ‘Best Song of the First Half of 2024’ by the British music magazine Dork, solidifying its status as a top hit.
The pre-release title track from Aespa’s first full-length album has recently garnered acclaim not only from Billboard but also from Dork, highlighting the group’s growing international recognition.
Dork praised ‘Supernova’ as “a cosmic piece where electro-pop collides with hip-hop, taking listeners to another world. The song draws you in with its black hole-like beats, which then spit you out into another dimension. This is not just K-pop; it’s an interstellar journey that overwhelms your speakers.”
Additionally, the renowned American business magazine Forbes reported on the album ‘Armageddon’ entering the ‘Billboard 200’ chart. Forbes noted, “‘Armageddon’ has made its debut on the list of the most sold albums in the United States with a significant increase in sales, marking one of the highest sales figures and a notable rise compared to previous periods.”
Domestically, ‘Supernova’ has maintained the top spot on major music sites Melon and Genie for nine consecutive weeks (from July 15-21), extending its record for the longest time at number one for a song released this year, showcasing its unmatched popularity both at home and abroad.
