ENHYPEN has showcased their hidden talents in the ‘horror comedy’ genre with their latest music video.
On August 1 at midnight, ENHYPEN (members Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki) released the music video for “Brought The Heat Back,” a track from their second full-length album, ROMANCE : UNTOLD, on HYBE Labels’ YouTube channel.
The music video portrays a thrilling chase among the ENHYPEN members as they compete for a mysterious cat that appears one day. The lyrics of “Brought The Heat Back” describe the confusion and bravado of a boy experiencing jealousy for the first time, and this theme is vividly depicted as the members express their envy towards the cat’s new owner.
In particular, scenes such as Sunoo running away with the cat through walls, the surprised expressions of the members who discover him, and Jay getting hit by a fish thrown by Jungwon highlight the members’ comedic acting skills. This music video marks a departure from ENHYPEN’s usual dark and heavy concepts, proving their versatility by successfully embracing the ‘horror comedy’ genre.
The video also features dynamic and funky performances that keep viewers engaged. ENHYPEN delivers a thrilling experience with their intricate choreography, synchronized perfectly with the ever-changing track.
Riding the wave of success from their second album, ENHYPEN is set to continue their momentum with follow-up promotions for “Brought The Heat Back.”
The song, produced in collaboration with Cirkut, who also produced their hit track “Bite Me,” has been well-received by global fans for its stylish beats and captivating melody progression.
