BTS member V has achieved a significant milestone with his solo track “Slow Dancing,” which has now surpassed 400 million streams on Spotify.
Released in September last year, “Slow Dancing” is the title track of V’s first solo album, “Layover.” As of August 2 (Korean time), the song has reached 400 million streams on the world’s largest music streaming platform, Spotify.

The “Layover” album also debuted at number 1 on the UK Official Album Download chart, making V the first K-pop solo artist to simultaneously top both the Official Singles and Album Download charts in the UK.
“Slow Dancing” is praised for its unique sound, blending 1970s soul with pop and R&B influences, a rarity in K-pop. Billboard ranked “Layover” as the second-best K-pop album of 2023, highlighting the flute solo in “Slow Dancing” as a bold testament to V’s artistic vision.
Additionally, the British magazine TimeOut included “Layover” at number 19 on its list of “The 30 Best Albums of 2023,” describing “Slow Dancing” as a soulful track that flows beautifully with its choreography.
