NCT’s Jaehyun (from SM Entertainment) is ramping up anticipation for his solo debut by pre-releasing two tracks from his upcoming first solo album today (12th). The songs “Dandelion” and “Roses” will be available on various global music platforms starting at 6 PM KST, and their music videos will also be unveiled simultaneously on the SMTOWN YouTube channel.
“Dandelion” is a lively medium-tempo R&B track that evokes the pure and nostalgic memories of blowing dandelions as a child. In contrast, “Roses” is an R&B song that reflects on the bittersweet memories associated with roses, expressing longing for a loved one. Jaehyun’s emotive vocals add depth to both tracks, which showcase his versatility as an artist.
Jaehyun was actively involved in the creation of both songs. Although they share a common theme of “flowers,” each track presents a distinct musical style, highlighting Jaehyun’s broad musical spectrum.
The accompanying music videos are equally captivating, depicting stories of romance and loss. The visual storytelling complements the contrasting emotions of “Dandelion” and “Roses,” making the videos a must-watch for fans.
Jaehyun’s first solo album, titled “J,” will feature a total of eight tracks, including the title song “Smoke” in both Korean and English versions, as well as the pre-released “Dandelion” and “Roses.” The album promises to reveal Jaehyun’s unique musical identity.
“J” is set for release on August 26, and pre-orders are currently available through various online and offline music retailers.
