K-pop group ZEROBASEONE is set to soar once again with their new album.
Today (August 26) at 6 PM, ZEROBASEONE will release their fourth mini-album CINEMA PARADISE on various music platforms. This comeback comes approximately three months after the release of their previous mini-album You Had Me at HELLO.
The title track “GOOD SO BAD” is an electronic synth-pop song that expresses the idea of “love that you don’t want to let go of despite everything” through ZEROBASEONE’s unique, upbeat energy. Global hitmaker KENZIE participated in writing and composing the song, which lyrically conveys the ambivalent emotions towards a special someone who remains the center of one’s universe even in a rapidly changing world. The refreshing vocals and rap of the members, layered over the mystical and vibrant melody, create a poignant yet refreshing romantic comedy in musical form.
The music video, released alongside the track, features a surprise appearance by actor Yoo Ji-tae as a screenplay writer. In the video, Yoo Ji-tae writes a movie with a sad ending, contrasted by ZEROBASEONE as the protagonists of the romance film within the video. Faced with an impending separation, ZEROBASEONE shows the courage to create their own ending. The combination of striking visuals, narration, and the members’ radiant appearances generated buzz even before the comeback, with both title track music video teasers trending on YouTube.
CINEMA PARADISE also includes six other tracks: “KILL THE ROMEO,” which transforms Romeo’s fate into a happy ending to be with “you”; a reimagining of the summer hit “바다” (Sea) by UP infused with ZEROBASEONE’s fresh energy; “Insomnia,” following the sleep song series that began with the mini-album 2 track “Good Night”; “Road Movie,” a song that reflects the present and future written by all nine members; “Eternity,” a tribute to the everlasting bond realized through meeting their fans (ZEROZ); and the Korean version of their debut song “유라유라” (Yura Yura), which received much love in Japan.
CINEMA PARADISE embodies ZEROBASEONE’s ultra-positive energy, encouraging those who, despite facing “bad” situations in life, continue to dream of a “good” happy ending. As a group that overcame immense odds to debut, ZEROBASEONE brings a more mature and sincere narrative about destiny, eternity, and love in this album.
ZEROBASEONE made history as the first K-pop group to achieve “million-seller” status with three consecutive albums in just one day.
