ITZY has unveiled an additional teaser for the music video of their double title track, “Imaginary Friend,” heightening anticipation for their comeback. On October 25, JYP Entertainment released the new teaser, hinting at ITZY’s compelling performance in their upcoming music video.
In the teaser, ITZY captivates with their sleek, all-black outfits, exuding a chic aura and showcasing graceful dance moves. The members’ enchanting gazes add to the mystique, while the closing shot—featuring Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna walking toward blazing flames—builds intrigue for the full music video.
“Imaginary Friend” combines vintage pop guitar with acoustic band sounds and ITZY’s harmonious vocals. The lyrics describe a figure from one’s imagination offering protection and support, blurring the lines between angelic and devilish qualities or even representing oneself. The song, crafted by prominent K-pop composer Ryan S., who also contributed to ITZY’s track “GOLD,” is designed to spark listeners’ imaginations.
ITZY is rolling out an extensive promotional lineup for “Imaginary Friend,” including teaser videos on October 23 and 25, a music video photo release on October 27, the full music video on October 28, a performance video on October 29, and a dance practice video on October 30. They will also be performing the song on music shows as part of their comeback activities.
Additionally, ITZY will host their third official fan meeting, “ITZY The 3rd Fan Meeting 있지 믿지, 날자! ‘믿지의 세포들'” on November 2 at the Olympic Hall in Seoul, where they will meet fans in person.
