Big Hit Labels, 180 minutes connected by music with global fans

From 9:30 pm on December 31st, the first joint performance of Big Hit Labels’ artists ‘2021 NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE’ was held at Kintex, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, Korea.
In the performance, artists from Big Hit Labels Lee Hyun, BUMZU, NU’EST, BTS, GFRIEND, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ENHYPEN, etc. participated, filling 180 minutes with a total of 32 songs, including colorful unit stages.
With the theme of “We’ve connected”, the performances are held with the meaning of ‘connecting’ the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021, between artists and artists, fans and fans, artists and fans, and more.
In particular, it added a special meaning as the first concert to meet artists from Big Hit Labels in one place.
Despite the fact that physical encounters and connections are difficult due to a pandemic, the audience could see the collaboration with overseas musicians such as Halsey, Lauv, and Steve Aoki through ‘Global Connect Stage’, and they were also able to meet backstage artists in the studio through ‘Online Meet & GREET’.
Stages that transcends time and space with the late Shin Hae-cheol, implemented with artificial intelligence (AI) technology, attracted viewers around the world.
Special performances were held that gave music fans around the world a new experience in seeing new performances, such as the application of new holographic technology that could not be experienced in offline concerts.
The organizer also completed the stage by performing pre-recording and real-time broadcasting in parallel to present the performances of the artists belonging to Big Hit Labels with the best quality along with various set lists.
The stage, which was faithfully implemented with such a variety of technologies and rich repertoire, was selected and enjoyed by the audience in real time from the ultra-high definition 4K and six high definition HD multi-view screens.
This year’s performance is under the main theme of “We’ve connected”, and expresses the artist’s music, performance, and stage with four sub-themes:’WE’, ‘RE’, ‘NEW’, and ‘2021 Connect’.
‘WE’ was opened by the group leaders of Big Hit Labels artists (Lee Hyun, BUMZU, JR, RM, Sowon, Subin, and Jungwon).
Next, ENHYPEN sang three songs ‘Let Me In (20 CUBE)’ and ‘10 Months’, including the title song ‘Given-Taken’ of their debut album ‘BORDER: DAY ONE’, and showed a fantastic performance.
‘RE’ was filled with music and stage reinterpreted in collaboration with new genres, instruments, and characters.
The deceased Shin Hae-cheol’s hit song ‘To You’, revised with Korean traditional sounds and rhythm, was sung by Bumzu, NU’EST Baekho, GFRIEND Yuju, TOMORROW X TOGETHER Taehyun, and ENHYPEN Heeseung standing on the stage with the late Shin Hae-cheol embodied in holograms, and left a deep impression and lingering.
GFRIEND opened the stage with the title song ‘Night’ of the 6th mini album ‘Time for the moon night’ released in 2018.
BTS started their stage with ‘Dynamite’, and sang ‘Best Of Me’ from the mini album LOVE YOURSELF 承 ‘Her’ and took the peak of the atmosphere.
This performance was a special performance that gave the experience of viewing various performances with a solid composition and delicate direction in a reality where physical encounters and connections are difficult due to a pandemic.
