You are not able to listen Kakao M’s music sources on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming company.
According to foreign media and Kakao M on the 1st, Spotify will no longer be able to listen to the sound sources distributed by Kakao M on Spotify.
Accordingly, foreign Spotify users can not use sound source of the artists that Kakao owns such as IU, Seventeen, GFRIEND since Wednesday.
The reason Spotify stopped providing Kakao M’s music service is because the contract between the two companies ended on February 28th.
Kakao M has been negotiating to continue overseas music service separately from the domestic, but the contract was not agreed as Spotify adhered to the position that domestic and overseas service contracts must be made under the same conditions.
