Amid the intense competition for platforms in the entertainment industry, Big Hit Entertainment is far ahead.
In June 2019, Big Hit launched Weverse, a platform that enables all fandom activities including community functions, media content streaming, and commerce functions.
As of the end of last year, Weverse, which includes Big Hit Labels artists as well as big domestic and foreign artists, recorded 17 million downloads and a total of 1920 million community subscribers.
Not only that, but Big Hit recently took over Naver’s V Live, which K-pop idols are using as a live broadcasting platform.
In addition, Big Hit produces its own contents, connecting to broadcast programming, and shows its ability to produce programs.
Big Hit Three Sixty, which develops performances and media content business at Big Hit, introduced ‘PLAYGROUND’ as a special entertainment for the New Year.
Big Hit said at the company briefing last year, “We are planning to create new video content brands with many artists under Big Hit Labels, and to meet fans in more diverse ways.”
