Blackpink joins Weverse. YG Entertainment announced, “Blackpink will open the global fan platform Weverse community on the 2nd.” YG said, “We have decided to join Weverse as part of the project. Blackpink plans to communicate more closely with global fans in the future.”
The first full-length album ‘THE ALBUM’, released in October of last year, ranked second on the US Billboard 200 and the UK Official Chart, renewing its own top ranking for K-pop girl groups. The album sold more than 1.3 million copies, becoming the first K-pop girl group to become the first million-seller (based on Hanteo and Gaon charts).
