Blackpink Lisa’s ‘Money’ and ‘Squid Game’ worked?

Blackpink’s Lisa’s debut single is creating a sensation. Guinness World Records certified the music video for Lisa’s title song “LALISA”, which was viewed 73.6 million times on the first day of its release on the 8th as “the most viewed YouTube video of a solo artist in 24 hours”. 

Lisa ranked 68th on the official single chart with the title song ‘Larisa’ in the first week of release. Excluding the music of the group BTS among all K-pop singers, it is the first time that even a b-side song has entered this chart after the title song. 

‘Money’ received less attention than the title song ‘Larisa’ at the beginning of its release, but it gained popularity through a short-form video platform. Some users showed a video combining the two contents, paying attention to the fact that the lyrics of this song are similar to the contents of the Netflix series ‘Squid Game’, which is a sensational work. On the global chart of Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, ‘Money’ soared to ninth place as of the 7th.  It ranks higher than the title song ‘Larisa’ (40th).
