BLACKPINK’s ‘Pink Venom’ MV Surpasses 900 Million Views, Cementing Their Status as ‘YouTube Queens’

As BLACKPINK gears up for a full-group comeback next year, their pre-release single “Pink Venom” from their second full-length album has surpassed 900 million views on YouTube. According to YG Entertainment, the “Pink Venom” music video crossed this milestone at 2:57 AM on October 15, marking the group’s 11th video to achieve over 900 million views, reaching this in just over two years since its release on August 19, 2022.

The music video made history shortly after its release, garnering 90.4 million views within the first 24 hours, setting a new record for the highest first-day views by a female artist. It also became the fastest K-pop girl group video to hit 100 million views in just 29 hours and 35 minutes, and it reached 200 million views in just over seven days.

“Pink Venom” showcases BLACKPINK’s signature charisma in a hip-hop track that blends powerful beats with traditional Korean instruments, creating a unique sound from the intro. The fierce rap and captivating vocals highlight each member’s distinct charm.

The song also made significant waves on global music charts, topping iTunes in 81 countries and holding the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Global 200 for two consecutive weeks and the Billboard Global chart for three weeks. It also peaked at No. 22 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Chart, solidifying BLACKPINK’s influence in the mainstream pop market.

With a total of 47 videos boasting over 100 million views, BLACKPINK continues to reinforce their status as “YouTube Queens.” Their official YouTube channel now has over 94.9 million subscribers, the most among all male and female artists worldwide, and their content has accumulated more than 37.1 billion views.
