BTS, catching their breath

The global summer song ‘Butter’, which entered the chart on June 5 and remained at the top of the ‘Hot 100’ for 7 weeks in a row, handed over the number one baton to ‘Permission to Dance’ on the chart on July 24. has retaken the top of the ‘Hot 100’ on the chart on July 31, and until last week (as of August 7), ranked first on the ‘Hot 100’ for the ninth time in her career. According to Billboard, ‘Butter’ recorded 31.6 million radio listeners in the weekly count until August 5. BTS is the only group in Billboard’s 62-year history to hold the top spot for more than 7 weeks after entering the ‘Hot 100’ and rising to the top (Hotshot debut) at the same time as they entered the ‘Hot 100’ with their other song ‘Hot 100’.
On the other hand, BTS started with ‘Dynamite’ (3 times), which was the first Korean singer to top the Billboard ‘Hot 100’ last year, and featured in the remix version of ‘Savage Love’ (1) and album ‘BE’.
