BTS, Grammy Awards Misfire

BTS’s challenge to the Grammy Awards did not succeed.
BTS’ ‘Dynamite’ was the first Korean pop singer to be nominated in the 63rd Grammy Awards ‘Best Pop Duo/Group Performance’ category, but the award went to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande.
Competitors were collaboration songs of the world’s top pop stars, such as Justin Bieber and Quavo’s “Intensions”, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s “Rain on Me,” and Taylor Swift and Von Ever’s “Exile”.
Among them, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s ‘Rain on Me’ won the award.
BTS’ ‘Dynamite’ also received good reviews not only for its popularity but also for its musical achievements.
Grammy increased their stake in BTS participation in the Grammy Awards whenever the status of BTS grew.
Some voices criticize the conservatism of the Grammy Awards, which rarely rewards non-whites.
At this year’s Grammy Awards, Canadian alternative R&B artist “The Weekend” was criticized for not being nominated.
Some of the music industry has raised suspicion that the reason is because The Weekend has decided to stand on the stage for the Super Bowl celebration, which will be held a week after the Grammy Awards.
