As the group BTS is scheduled to hold an offline concert in Los Angeles, USA on the 27th and 28th and the 1st and 2nd of next month, the vicinity of SoFi Stadium is already buzzing.
According to the local tourism industry, the ‘Trend Hotel at LAX Airport’, which is about a 10-minute drive from the concert hall, is priced at least 410,000 won per night as of the 27th, the first day of the performance. Even on Christmas Eve on the 24th of next month, which is considered the peak season, they are receiving only around 150,000 won.
Hana Tour explained, “Before and after the BTS concert, it is very difficult to book hotels and shuttles near Sofi Stadium in downtown LA and near the airport. Since this Los Angeles concert is the first time BTS has performed face-to-face since the COVID-19 crisis, the four-day concert tickets were sold out early.”
According to the ticket resale site ‘Ticketmaster’, on the first day of the performance on the 27th, the seats in the A1 area closest to the stage are listed at a whopping $7,300 (about 8.6 million won). Far from the stage, even the cheapest tickets are looking for buyers for $350.
Prior to the concert, BTS is nominated for the Grand Prize at the American Music Awards (AMA), which is one of the top 3 music awards in the United States, scheduled for the 21st.
