Group BTS J-Hope delivered 150 million won in donation for children with disabilities to celebrate his birthday on February 18th.
This donation is expected to be used for childcare expenses, learning expenses, and facility support expenses for children with visual and hearing impairments who are experiencing economic difficulties.
J-Hope, who is also a member of the ‘Green Noble Club’, a large donor group of more than 100 million won in ChildFund Korea, said, “With the prolonged COVID19, the number of vulnerable families is increasing significantly. I hope this sponsorship will increase social interest in children with disabilities.”
J-Hope has donated 150 million won in 2018 to nurture talents and children with patients, 100 million won in alma mater scholarships in February 2019, and 100 million won in treatment expenses for patients in December of the same year.
rnIn 2020, he delivered 100 million won to children in crisis families who are struggling with COVID19, giving a total of 600 million won to the present.
rnJ-Hope continues to support children from poor families every year through the ChildFund Korea, and the BTS fandom is also adding strength to J-Hope’s good influence by actively making donations.
Chairman Lee Je-hoon of ChildFund Korea said, “With continuous sponsorship from J-Hope, a member of the global star BTS, interest in children suffering from economic difficulties is being raised, and the good influence is leading to support inquiries from ARMY (BTS fandom) in Korea and abroad. ChildFund Korea will also do our best in all directions to support children from low-income families, with the will of all donors including J-Hope.”
