Group BTS V, Jin, Jungkook, RM, Jimin, J-Hope participated in the global press conference of “BE (Deluxe Edition)” held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza(DDP) in Seoul on the morning of the 20th.
BTS will release a new album “BE” at the same time all over the world at 2:00 pm on this day(local time).
Regarding the military enlistment issue, Jin said, “I think that serving in the military is a duty that must be performed as a South Korean youth,” and “as I said every time, I will respond whenever there is a call from the country.”
He added, “I often talk to the members and they said they will also do the military service.”
After the recently released single “Dynamite” by BTS climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard main single chart for the first time as a Korean singer, social controversy arose over their military service issues.
Jin, who was born in 1992 and is the closest member of BTS to join the army, revealed at a press conference in February this year that “military service is a natural duty.”
On this day, the National Defense Commission held a plenary session on the 20th, and the bill review subcommittee voted on a bill to amend the military service law.
