BTS, who received 3 grand prizes at the ‘2020 Melon Music Awards (MMA)’ on the 5th, received 4 grand prizes at the ‘2020 MAMA’ on the 6th and received a total of 10 awards.
In the ‘2020 MAMA’ on this day, BTS won the Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Worldwide Icon of the Year, Best Boy Group, Best Dance Performance Boy Group, Best Music Video, Worldwide Fan’s Choice awards. After receiving the World Wide Icon of the Year Award on this day for three years in a row, RM of BTS said, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude. I could feel your love right next to me. Thanks to ARMYs around the world, we were able to win this award.” Song of the year award also went to BTS. RM said, “It’s the only awards ceremony that we didn’t get invited to when we debuted. As time passed, I was impressed to receive such a big prize. ‘Dynamite’ is a song that I didn’t know would receive so much love. We feel uncomfortable as it seems that only us are delivering good news in this difficult situation, but we sincerely hope to reach you. Hope to see you again soon and smile.”
The last award, Artist of the Year, was also taken by BTS.
