BTS tops Billboard’s ‘Artist 100’ for the 20th time

BTS (BTS) has topped the Billboard chart “Artist 100” for the 20th time.

Billboard announced on the 25th (local time) that BTS returned to the top of the Artist 100 chart this week, one step higher than the previous week. It is BTS’ 20th No. 1 spot on the Artist 100 chart. Only three solo artists, Taylor Swift (48th), Drake (32nd), and Weekend (22), hold the highest number of records in the chart, which began in 2014. Artist 100 is a weekly chart that measures artist influence by quantifying music and album sales, streaming, radio broadcasting scores, and social media activities. BTS’s return to No. 1 was attributed to the continued promotion of singles such as “Butter” and “Permission to Dance,” the Billboard said. Released in May, “Butter” topped Billboard’s main single chart “Hot 100” for nine weeks in total and ranked eighth this week. “Permission to Dance,” which had been at the top for a week since its release last month, is still on the hot 100 chart at No.66. The main album chart “Billboard 200” also ranks two albums, the best Japanese album “BTS, the Best” (95th) and the fourth full-length album “Map of the Soul: 7” (121st).

BTS released a remix version of “Butter” at 1 p.m. on the 27th (Korean Time) in collaboration with American next-generation rapper, Megan the Stallion.
