BTS won IFPI

BTS swept three of the global charts selected by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).
Prior to this, BTS was the first non-English-speaking singer to reach the top in the ‘Global Artist Chart 2020’, which was released on the 3rd. The ‘Global All Format Chart’ ranks the albums that have sold the most every year by adding up the sales volume of real albums, digital music downloads, and streaming, and BTS ranked first with ‘MAP OF THE SOUL: 7’ and 4th with ‘BE’ on the 2020 chart.
‘MAP OF THE SOUL: 7’, released in February last year, ranked first in the ‘Global Album Sales Chart’, which ranks the total number of real album sales and digital music downloads sold around the world every year. BE’ came in second place.
In addition, the 4th Japanese full album ‘MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 ~ THE JOURNEY ~’, which was released in July, also ranked 8th, and all three albums released last year entered the top 10 of the ‘Global Album Sales Chart’.
IFPI Chairman Frances More said, “The success of BTS on IFPI’s global charts, including ranking first and second on this chart (global album sales chart) at the same time, is unprecedented, and their music has become immensely popular around the world. “
BTS was also listed on IFPI’s ‘Global Digital Single Chart 2020’.
