BTS’s Jungkook Confirmed for Solo Performance at the ‘2023 MTV EMA’

BTS’s Jungkook is set to captivate audiences in Paris, France, at the “2023 MTV Europe Music Awards” (EMA). The event, Europe’s largest music awards show, announced on October 17th that Jungkook has been named this year’s performer. Earlier, Jungkook’s solo single “세븐” (Seven), released in July, earned him nominations in three categories: “Best Song,” “Best K-pop,” and “Biggest Fans,” making him the most nominated Korean solo artist in EMA history.

The MTV EMA, organized by MTV Networks Europe, celebrates popular songs, music videos, and outstanding artists from the past year, making it a global music festival beloved by audiences worldwide. This year’s ceremony will take place on November 5th in Paris. Jungkook, along with other dynamic performers like the talented British singer-songwriter Anne-Marie, the six-time EMA winner and renowned DJ David Guetta, and the Australian rapper The Kid LAROI, who gained worldwide fame with “Stay,” a collaboration with Justin Bieber, is expected to bring even more excitement to the event.

On November 3rd at 1 PM (Korean time), Jungkook will simultaneously release his first solo album, “골든” (GOLDEN), worldwide. The album features 11 tracks, including the title song “스탠딩 넥스트 투 유” (Standing Next to You). With its groovy vocals and retro punk sound, “Standing Next to You” is set to showcase Jungkook’s peak performance skills and elevate his status as a solo artist.
