‘COVID-19 + appendicitis’ BTS Jimin, a handwritten letter that made fans cry while fighting the disease

BTS Jimin, who was diagnosed with appendicitis after being confirmed with COVID-19 and underwent surgery, left a touching handwritten letter.

Recently, on BTS’ official Twitter account, “Ding Dong! A New Year’s message from BTS for ARMY has arrived. Happy New Year this year too, and have a happy holiday” along with a handwritten letter verification shot. 

Jimin said, “ARMY, this is Jimin. As the Lunar New Year approaches, it feels like 2022 is here. I am curious and worried about how you will feel in the new year. We want you all to be happy, but we’re not in a situation where we can say it’s okay yet.” He continued, “I also think the times we cried, laughed and comforted together have become memories, so I think it was a bit bittersweet. Still, I can’t sit still. I’ll wait happily because there are all of you who always support me in this kind of situation.”

On January 30th, Jimin felt sudden abdominal pain along with mild sore throat and went to the emergency room of a nearby hospital.

As a result of the test, he was diagnosed with Corona 19 and acute appendicitis, and the operation was performed the next day.

Jimin said, “I want two things from you guys! One, I hope that you can laugh more than last year and last year. Second, I sincerely hope that you are healthy both physically and mentally.” He said to the fans by saying, “To the ARMYs I miss, miss, and miss, I hope this year doesn’t end with the words I miss you.” showed affection.
