JYP Entertainment announced that group Day6 set its own first-time best selling record in its first week. Day6’s 7th mini album ‘The Book of Us: Negentropy-Chaos swallowed up in love’ (hereinafter ‘Negentropy’) achieved 73,668 copies of the first song (record sales for a week as of the release date) based on Hanteo Chart. This is an increase of about 1.5 times compared to the initial 4,956 copies of the 6th mini album ‘The Demon’ released in May 2020, and they showed a growth graph by rewriting the group’s own best performance. It ranked second on the Hanteo Chart album weekly chart (2021.04.19 ~ 2021.04.25) and Gaon Chart 2021’s 17th week retail album chart (2021.04.18 ~ 2021.04.24).
In particular, the five members Sungjin, Jay, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon made music in about a year after the title song ‘Zombie’ of the 6th mini album released in May last year. The title song ‘You Make Me’ was ranked high on major domestic music sites such as Melon, Genie, and Bugs right after its release, and all songs included in the new album achieved chart-in.
