DAY6 (Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, Dowoon) made a strong comeback with their digital single “Maybe Tomorrow,” released on May 7 at 6 PM KST. Within just one hour, the title track “Maybe Tomorrow” surged to No. 10 on Melon’s TOP 100 chart, marking a powerful return after an eight-month hiatus since their 9th mini-album “Band Aid.” Meanwhile, the B-side track “End It” also entered the chart, securing the 28th spot, further indicating DAY6’s sustained influence on the K-pop scene.
“Maybe Tomorrow” serves as a comforting anthem for those struggling to stay hopeful in the present. With heartfelt lyrics penned by Young K, the song conveys a message of borrowing hope from the future while embracing the unpredictability of life. Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and producer Hong Jisang co-composed the track, blending vibrant drum beats and refreshing instrumentals with the group’s evocative vocals.
The B-side “End It” explores the heart-wrenching decision to let go of a fading relationship. With a minimalist arrangement led by heavy drum and guitar sounds, the song emphasizes Young K’s poignant lyrics and Wonpil’s tender vocal delivery. Both tracks will make their live debut at DAY6’s upcoming concert at KSPO DOME, Seoul, from May 9-11 and May 16-18, marking the final leg of their “FOREVER YOUNG” world tour, which has drawn over 23 cities and 45 shows.
Sungjin reflected on the album’s theme, saying, “Happiness is like Columbus’ egg. It’s always been there, right before our eyes.” Young K added, “Even if hope seems faint, as long as we don’t let go, we’ll be okay.” Wonpil and Dowoon also expressed their gratitude to fans, promising to deliver emotionally impactful performances in the upcoming concerts.
