ENHYPEN, full-fledged activity in Japan… Expectations for the 4th Generation Hallyu Rookie

Group Enhypen has announced a full-fledged advance to Japan. On July 6, Enhypen released their Japanese debut single ‘Border: Hakanai’ and held an online local showcase on July 13.
‘Border: Hakanai’ contains a total of three songs, including the title song ‘Given-Taken’ and the Japanese version of the track ‘Let Me In’, the title track of ‘Border: Day One’ released in November of last year. The Enhypen is already exerting influence in the United States, which is considered the world’s largest music market. Japan is also showing extraordinary interest in Enhypen.
First of all, Japanese member Ni-ki was included in the group, so the interest in Enhypen was maintained at a certain level even before the official debut. Even when he appeared on the popular Japanese TV show ‘Sukkiri’, Enhypen successfully communicated with the locals without difficulty and made an eye stamp for ordinary viewers who are not fandoms. The 2nd mini album ‘Border: Carnival’, released on the 26th of last month, ranked first on the Oricon weekly album chart in Japan for two weeks in a row, and ranked first on the monthly album chart in April. Not only foreign singers but also Japanese local singers, none of the artists ranked first on the Oricon weekly record chart for two consecutive weeks. Cheering is pouring on whether Enhypen, who has been anchored in earnest overseas expansion, will show the aspect of a ‘record breaker’ with their own ‘carnival’.
