(G)I-DLE’s Minnie has surprised fans with a special release for the Lunar New Year holiday.
On January 28, Cube Entertainment unveiled a special clip for “Obsession (Feat. TEN of WayV)” from Minnie’s first mini-album. The track had already gained attention due to the collaboration between Minnie and Ten, both of whom hail from Thailand.
In the video, Minnie delivers a captivating performance, expressing the emotions of the song through her movements. The clip features a striking contrast of black-and-white visuals before transforming into full color at the climax, enhancing its cinematic appeal. Ten joins Minnie in a face-to-face duet, showcasing their seamless vocal chemistry.
“Obsession” is a disco-pop track with retro influences, featuring lyrics that candidly express deep emotions. Minnie actively participated in writing and composing the song, while Ten’s unique vocal tone adds a distinctive charm to the collaboration.
Meanwhile, Minnie continues to promote her first solo mini-album “HER” and is currently operating a special pop-up store “HERS” at Space B in Yeonnam, Seoul, until January 29.
