Just eight days following their debut, the rookie girl group ILLIT has made an impressive entry into the US Billboard charts with their debut song ‘Magnetic’. According to the latest charts released by Billboard on April 2nd (local time), for the week of April 6th, ILLIT’s (Yoona, Minju, Mocha, Wonhee, Iroha) title track from their mini-album ‘SUPER REAL ME’ has secured the 63rd position on the ‘Global 200’ and 33rd on the ‘Global (excl. US)’, setting a new record for the highest-charting K-pop girl group debut song on both charts.
Additionally, ‘SUPER REAL ME’ ranked 10th on the ‘World Albums’ chart and 15th on the ‘Heatseekers Albums’, a chart targeting emerging musicians worldwide. This achievement marks a significant accomplishment for ILLIT, entering four Billboard charts in their debut week alone.
Their success is also notable on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, where ‘Magnetic’ became the first K-pop girl group debut song to enter the ‘Daily Top Songs Global’ chart on its release day, climbing to its highest position at 14th on April 1st. The song also reached a peak of 51st on the ‘Daily Top Songs USA’ on the same day.
ILLIT debuted on March 25th with their album ‘SUPER REAL ME’, capturing the authenticity and imagination of teenagers with the message “My real story is the best story”.
