‘KCON’ is building a lineup ahead of the opening in June. CJ ENM planned ‘KCON’ online as the world tour became difficult due to the COVID19 situation. In the paid performance held in March under the name of the online K-culture festival ‘KCON:TACT’, AR and XR technologies were applied to show a spectacular stage direction. While offering online performances from multiple platforms, the terms and conditions of contracts vary from team to team. The official said, “Because it is aimed at global fans, it should be groups with some degree of recognition abroad. Somehow, ‘KCON:TACT’ has been through several seasons, so it is difficult to differentiate.”
Although the project group X1 of ‘Produce X101’ disgraced and disrupted the planned lineup, Mnet continuously produced project groups through auditions and supported rookies which can make it easier for ‘KCON’ to negotiate with groups.
