‘Kep1er’, nine girls with wings through ‘Girls Planet 999’

Mnet’s ‘Girls Planet 999: Girls’ War’ (hereinafter ‘Girls Planet 999’) ended its broadcast on the 22nd. 

‘Girls Planet 999’ is the first audition program planned as a Korea-China-Japan project, and is a survival audition entertainment show that depicts a total of 99 girls, 33 each living in the Korean, Chinese, and Japanese cultures, challenging their dreams of a girl group. 

It captured the hearts of global K-pop fans by depicting participants of various nationalities coming together to understand and help each other and go towards their dreams. 

The final episode, which was released through Mnet’s K-Pop official YouTube channel, was also accessed by 200,000 people, and the highest share of real-time viewing on TVING recorded 70.8%. 

Previously, Mnet’s project groups I.O.I, Wanna One, and IZone, which were produced through the ‘Produce 101’ series, swept the top of the music and album charts with their appearance, and were active in the modifier of ‘Monster Rookie’. 

It’s not just the project group. Enhypen who was born through ‘I-LAND’ last year is the same. At the time of the final broadcast, they gathered a global topic, such as recording 44 million viewers, and achieved half-million sellers less than a year after their debut, and they are on a winning streak by entering the US Billboard main album chart ‘Billboard 200’.
