IVE sets the tone for their own mood.
The girl group IVE (An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, Leeseo) has taken their signature self-love to the next level with their latest release.
On February 3 at 6 PM KST, IVE dropped their third mini-album, IVE EMPATHY, across various digital streaming platforms. This album expands on IVE’s trademark confidence, adding a fresh twist to their signature themes of “self-assurance” and “self-love” by incorporating the concept of “empathy.” Since their debut in December 2021, IVE has continuously reinforced their strong identity, and IVE EMPATHY seeks to evolve while staying true to their essence.
Following the pre-released double title track REBEL HEART on January 13, the newly unveiled title track is “ATTITUDE”. The song embraces the idea that, while some things in life cannot be changed, one’s attitude can—and the best way to deal with the uncontrollable is to embrace it with confidence and positivity. Notably, member Jang Wonyoung, who has previously sparked trends like “Wonyoung’s mindset” and “Lucky Bikki”, participated in the lyrics, adding authenticity to the song’s empowering message.

The music video for ATTITUDE is just as bold as the track itself. It opens with a provocative question:
“Are you sure you want to be a member of the Loveless Society?”
The scene cuts to someone confidently checking “YES” on an application form, setting the stage for a society devoid of love that eventually undergoes a transformation.
Each of the six members stands out in a robotic, monotonous world, expressing their distinct personalities while staying true to IVE’s fearless and confident attitude. The video also features a dynamic performance with bold choreography, including the “Wonyoung Turn” as a highlight move. A particularly symbolic moment occurs when the members form a half-heart gesture with their hands, subtly challenging the loveless environment and staying true to their attitude.
