Mamamoo’s Solar will release a solo album after a year and 11 months since the single album <Spit it out> released in April 2020.
The name of this album was inspired by the Chinese character ‘容 (face. ‘Yong’)’ of Kim Yong-seon, Solar’s real name. Just by looking at the titles of the 5 songs in this album, ‘RAW’, ‘HONEY’, ‘chap chap’, ‘Big Booty’, and ‘zingle zingle’, you can see the youthfulness.
“It’s my first mini album coming out, so I’m very nervous and looking forward to it,” said Solar. She introduced the title song and said, “It’s a spring-like song.”
Solar said, “The theme of ‘Yong’ is an album about faces. I wanted to convey the message that each person is valuable.”
