NewJeans’ “Get Up” Continues Its Reign on Billboard 200, 13 Consecutive Weeks in the Charts

NewJeans, the sensational K-pop girl group, continues to dominate the Billboard 200 chart with their mini-album, “Get Up.” According to Billboard’s latest rankings, “Get Up” secured the 84th position on the Billboard 200 chart for the week ending on October 28th. Although it dropped 18 places from its previous rank at 66, the album has impressively maintained its presence on the chart for 13 consecutive weeks since its debut. Notably, “Get Up” marked NewJeans’ debut on the Billboard 200 by instantly reaching the number one spot, making them the second K-pop girl group to achieve this feat on the chart.

“Get Up” by NewJeans is currently setting a record for the longest-running 4th-generation K-pop girl group album on the Billboard 200 chart. Among all K-pop girl groups across generations, it is second only to BLACKPINK’s first full-length album, “THE ALBUM,” which spent a total of 26 weeks on the chart. BLACKPINK’s second full-length album, “BORN PINK,” ranks second with 13 weeks, tying with the achievement of “Get Up.”

In addition to its Billboard 200 success, “Get Up” is also performing well on various other Billboard album charts. The album has maintained its position at second place on the Billboard World Albums chart for ten weeks. Moreover, it has reached the 20th spot on the Top Album Sales chart and the 17th spot on the Top Current Album Sales chart. The album’s tracks have made notable appearances on Billboard’s “Global 200” chart, with songs like “Super Shy,” one of the triple title tracks, spending 15 weeks at the 70th spot, and “ETA” securing the 146th spot for 13 weeks. The group’s performance of “GODS,” the theme song for the 2023 League of Legends World Championship, even entered the chart, staying at the 173rd spot for two weeks.
