Rosé and Bruno Mars’ ‘APT.’ Achieves Perfect All-Kill, Global Sensation Continues

BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Bruno Mars have created a global sensation with their duet “APT.” Released on October 18, the song has taken the global music scene by storm. “APT.” is a pre-release single ahead of Rosé’s official comeback on December 6 and will also be featured in her debut full-length album rosie.

Immediately upon release, “APT.” achieved a “Perfect All-Kill” (PAK), topping all major South Korean music charts, including Melon, Genie, Bugs, and Vibe, in both real-time and daily charts. Additionally, the song secured the No. 1 spot on both Spotify’s global and U.S. charts, making Rosé the first Korean female solo artist to top the U.S. Spotify chart. The song also reached No. 1 on iTunes in 40 regions, solidifying its global success.

The music video for “APT.”—which features both Rosé and Bruno Mars in a visually striking, playful storyline—has also garnered immense attention. It reached No. 1 on YouTube’s trending music videos and trending overall videos in both South Korea and the U.S. Within just four days of its release, the video has amassed over 82 million views and is quickly approaching the 100-million mark.

Rosé, who co-wrote “APT.,” explained that the song was inspired by a popular game in Korea known as the “apartment game.” She shared, “The apartment game is one of my favorite games—simple, fun, and perfect for lightening the mood. One night, while in the studio, I taught the game to the staff, and as we played, we began working on the track. Bruno Mars later joined in, and the song was completed.”

Rosé’s first full-length album rosie, which includes “APT.,” is set for release on December 6 and will feature 12 tracks. She has participated in the writing and composition of all the songs, offering listeners a more personal and intimate reflection of her story.

As the main vocalist of BLACKPINK and a record-breaking solo artist, Rosé continues to set new milestones. Her 2021 solo debut with the single R saw the title track “On The Ground” debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart and set a new record for the highest-charting K-pop female soloist on the Billboard Hot 100.

Rosé’s signing with The Black Label, led by producer Teddy, and her contract with global record label Atlantic Records earlier this year, has paved the way for her continued success in both domestic and international markets. Her impact across music, fashion, and beauty continues to attract attention worldwide, as fans eagerly follow her global journey.
