SEVENTEEN has once again demonstrated their dominance in Japan by topping the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking with their fifth full-length album ‘HAPPY BURSTDAY’. According to Oricon’s June 9 chart (covering sales from May 26 to June 1), the album sold approximately 457,000 copies, marking the highest first-week sales this year among all international male and female artists.

This achievement brings SEVENTEEN’s total number of Oricon No. 1 albums to 14, the most by any international artist. Additionally, ‘HAPPY BURSTDAY’ marks the group’s 10th consecutive album to reach No. 1 since their 2021 mini album ‘Attacca’.

The album has received an enthusiastic response in Japan, topping multiple charts including LINE Music’s real-time and daily album rankings, iTunes Japan’s Top Albums chart, and Apple Music Japan’s Top Albums chart. It also claimed the Oricon Daily Album Ranking’s top spot for six consecutive days (May 27 to June 1), further solidifying SEVENTEEN’s strong presence in the Japanese market.
