SM Entertainment and JYP Entertainment cooperates to make ‘DearU bubble’ a global mobile platform. SM is strengthening cooperation with JYP, which acquired a 23.3% stake in DearU Co., Ltd. owned by SM Studios Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of SM, and makes a goal to utilize the synergy between the two companies with global networks to grow the ‘DearU bubble’ into a competitive mobile platform in the global market.
DearU’s core business, ‘DearU bubble’, is a service platform for exchanging special private messages with artists in the form of 1:1 chat. It was launched in 2020 and the proportion of overseas users reached 68%. It has global users as its main customers, and is currently providing services with over 150 artists from 13 companies including SM and JYP. JYP artists 2PM, DAY6, TWICE, Stray Kids, and ITZY have also entered ‘Bubble’ since 2020 and are actively communicating with domestic and foreign fans.
