On the first day of the new year, the global music festival ‘SMTOWN LIVE’ heated up the audiences ‘at the 1st row in the master room’ around the world.
Starting with the opening video of Sooman Lee, the general producer of SM Entertainment, NCT DREAM’s ‘Ridin’, WayV’s ‘Take Off’, NCT 127’s ‘Punch’, Red Velvet’s ‘Bad Boy’ and ‘Peek-A-Boo’, KAI’s ‘Mmmh’ and ‘Reason’, Taemin’s ‘Criminal’ and ‘IDEA’, Super Junior-D&E’s ‘Growing Pains’, SuperM’s ‘100’, Baekhyun’s’ Candy’, Kangta’s’ Cough Syrup’, etc. were performed and caught the attention.
AESPA’s ‘Black Mamba’, NCT DREAM’s ‘Déjà Vu’, NCT U’s ‘Make a Wish (Birthday Song)’, ’90’s Love’, Red Velvet’s ‘Psycho’, SuperM’s ‘One (Monster & Infinity)’, Taeyeon ‘Happy’ and ‘What Do I Call You’, Super Junior ‘SUPER CLAP’ and ‘2YA2YAO!’, TVXQ!’s ‘The Chance of Love’ and ‘Dream’, in addition to the collaboration stages such as ‘Baekhyun’s ‘UN Village (feat.NCT Mark)’, GINJO ‘The Riot (feat.WayV Ten x Xiaojun)’, Raiden ‘Yours (feat.AESPA Winter)’, and IMLAY ‘Asteroid (feat.WayV YangYang) made the audience thrilled with a total of 39 songs.
A video of SHINee’s return in 2021 was also released and attracted attention. From the plane as if flying through the screen of the WayV ‘Take Off’ stage, the warm atmosphere of SuperM ‘Better Days’ greenhouse, Super Junior-KRY ‘When We Were Us’ green forest, TVXQ! The burning ruins and the helicopter of ‘Keep Your Head Down, and the dragon showing the overwhelming presence of the NCT 127 ‘Kick It’ are also attractive.
The artists also proved their love for fans with a warm encouragement to global music fans. Taeyeon said, “It was uncomfortable and difficult because of COVID19, but non-face-to-face performances have become a trend, so anyone in the world can see the ‘SMTOWN LIVE’ concert without much difficulty.” TVXQ! Since 2008,’SMTOWN LIVE’ has been successfully held in major cities around the world, such as Seoul, New York, LA, Paris, Tokyo, Osaka, Beijing, Shanghai, Bangkok, Singapore, and Dubai, setting numerous records.
