The first K-pop girl group, TWICE, is preparing to shake up Japan. It is the first K-pop girl group to hold a total of three solo concerts at Tokyo Dome in Japan.
TWICE will hold three concerts at the Tokyo Dome for three days from today (23rd) to 25th. It continues the heat of the successful world tour “TWICE 4TH WORLD TOUR “III.” Twice was previously scheduled to be held twice for two days on April 23 and 24, but the concert was added on Monday, the 25th, thanks to enthusiastic response. Tickets were quickly sold out amid the reservation chaos in which servers were down due to the influx of users at the same time as they opened. TWICE has become the “first K-pop girl group” to host three performances at the Tokyo Dome. Including local female artists, it is the second time in history after AKB48 Group, and set another record after entering Tokyo Dome for the shortest time since its debut as an overseas artist in March 2019. This concert is the first face-to-face meeting in about two years since “TWICE WOLLD TOUR 2019 ‘TWICELIGHTS’ IN JAPAN” and the first solo concert in three years at Tokyo Dome.
Meanwhile, TWICE will hold its first two encore performance at the North American Stadium in K-pop girl group history at the “Banc of California Stadium” in Los Angeles on May 14-15 (local time).
