TWICE’s Nayeon has once again made history as her second mini-album ‘NA’ debuted at No. 7 on the US Billboard 200 chart. This makes her the only K-pop female solo artist to have two albums in the top 10 of this chart.
According to an official article published by Billboard on June 23, Nayeon’s ‘NA,’ released on June 14, reached the No. 7 spot on the Billboard 200. This matches her previous record set with her first mini-album ‘IM NAYEON’ in July 2022, marking her second successful entry into the top 10 of the Billboard main album chart.
The album ‘NA’ recorded 43,000 album sales, with 4,000 units counted from streaming equivalents (SEA), totaling 47,000 units (as per Luminate). Notably, it became the best-selling album in the US for the week, topping the ‘Top Album Sales’ chart. Earlier this year, in February, TWICE topped the Billboard 200 with their mini-album ‘With YOU-th,’ and now Nayeon has set another milestone as a solo artist with this new release.
Both the mini-album and its title track ‘ABCD’ performed exceptionally well on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform. From June 14 to 16, ‘NA’ ranked in the top 10 of the Top Album Debut Global Chart, Top Album Debut USA Chart, and Top Album Debut UK Chart, while ‘ABCD’ debuted at No. 5 on the Top Song Debut Global Chart.
Nayeon has been actively promoting her comeback through various music shows and entertainment programs. She showcased her ‘born-to-be star’ qualities, winning the top spot on MBC M’s ‘Show! Champion’ on the 19th and KBS 2TV’s ‘Music Bank’ on the 21st.
On June 24, at midnight, TWICE’s official YouTube channel released special live clips of ‘Butterflies,’ ‘Heaven (Feat. Sam Kim),’ and ‘Count It’ from the album ‘NA.’ These clips express Nayeon’s gratitude for the overwhelming love and support from her fans. Viewers have shown enthusiastic reactions, commenting, “Nayeon’s gifts keep coming with this promotion. Thank you for creating such happy memories.”
Nayeon is also set to release a digital album ‘ABCD’ at 6 PM on the 24th, featuring an extended version of the title track including a dance break segment, promising more musical delight for her fans.
