Beomgyu of TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) has unveiled his first solo mixtape Panic, revealing his introspective and emotional side. Released on March 27 at 6 PM KST, both the audio and music video explore the duality of Beomgyu’s personality, often described as “someone who lives at both 3 a.m. and 3 p.m.”
In the cinematic music video, Beomgyu is shown in various isolating and overwhelming settings: a water-filled room, fog-covered fields, and a turbulent seaside. The imagery evokes a suffocating panic, with walls closing in and even a bed—typically a place of comfort—pressing down on him. Despite this, Beomgyu fights through, filling the walls with lyrics and strumming his guitar. Dandelion seeds float through the air, symbolizing hope and freedom as he finally escapes the confining space.
The music video incorporates Beomgyu’s creative input, including the powerful opening scene of lying alone on a bed, which he conceived to express the solitude that accompanies panic. “I wanted to portray the feeling of being left alone in the world during a panic episode,” he explained.
Describing the experience, Beomgyu said, “It was my first time filming a music video alone, so I was nervous. But thanks to the support of my TXT members and staff, I was able to enjoy the process.” He added, “Panic fully reflects my thoughts and preferences. I hope this song brings comfort and strength to those who listen.”
