UNESCO Director-General “Thank You” for the message against racism by BTS

UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azule said on the 31st of last month, “(BTS’s writing was) A powerful message against hatred and racism. We all have a role to play – artists, musicians, politicians, citizens. @UNESCO beelieves every step counts, every word counts to build peace in the minds of peoples. Thank you @BTS_twt for taking a stand. #FightRacism #cultureofpeace.”


The day before, BTS said, “We are against racial discrimination” with the hashtags ‘#StopAsianHate’ and ‘#StopAAPIHate’.
BTS said, “We have been discriminated because we are Asian. While walking along the street, we were cursed for no reason and our appearance was degraded. We even heard that why we speak English.”
