The group MONSTA X I.M has proven its strong global potential as a solo artist. I.M entered the top of the Billboard Word Digital Song Sales chart with the recently released new song ‘Loop’.
Hugh McIntyre, columnist for Hollywood & Entertainment of Forbes, an American economic magazine, said, “I.M entered the Billboard chart for the 6th time as a solo artist.” He continued, “I.M has been successful in both group and solo activities.”
From the mix tapes ‘Who Am I’ and ‘Fly With Me’ to the songs on the MONSTA X album, ‘Champagne’, ‘Yoo Ah’, ‘John’, ‘Night View’ and ‘Rotate’, I.M has been steadily strengthening his own music color. In particular, ‘Night View’ also set a record running backwards on the US Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart. In addition, his first solo mini-album ‘Duality’, released in February, filled the album with all self-composed songs, and ranked first on the iTunes Worldwide Album Chart, the top album chart in 18 countries and regions around the world, and 20% on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart and wrote an astonishing record.
Monsta X, to which I.M belongs, was also selected as one of the ‘Representing K-Pop Songs and Albums in 2020’ by Time Magazine with their first US full-length album ‘All About Love’ released in 2020, and on the Billboard ’25 Best Albums of 2020′ by Pop Crush, and ranked 5th on the main album chart of the ‘Billboard 200’ and recorded a total of 7 Billboard chart top 10 entries.
