World-renowned fashion designer Virgil Abloh, known as Karl Lagerfeld of street fashion, died after a battle with cancer, and the group BTS paid tribute to him.
Virgil Abloh drew attention by unveiling his collection as a spin-off show with BTS in Seoul in July.
In addition, BTS and Abloh participated in the global art project ‘Do It (Around the World)’ together last year.
Virgil Abloh interned with Kanye West in 2009 at the Louis Vuitton brand Fendi.
In 2013, he founded a street fashion brand, Off White, and in 2018 became the first black designer to become Louis Vuitton’s chief menswear designer.
Abloh, who has influenced various fields such as graffiti, hip-hop, and skateboarding, delivered a message about racial identity or inclusion and gender-fluidity through his fashion shows.
