‘TRUZ CAFE’ with the theme of characters utilizing the personality and characteristics of YG’s large rookie TREASURE will open in downtown Japan. On the 10th, YG Entertainment announced that “TRUZ Character Cafe, created through collaboration between TREASURE and the global creative studio LINE Friends, will be operated from this day to July 17 at Shibuya Omotesandō Street in Tokyo, Japan.” TREASURE plans to open a Truz Cafe here and take one step closer to local fans. The character Truz, created through TREASURE STUDIO, an IP (intellectual property) project of Treasure and Line Friends, caught the attention of fans around the world from the production process. The 12 TRUZ standing dolls, first released in April, were sold out in one minute at the Line Friends domestic official smart store. In addition, TREASURE performed character activities that touched the sensibility of the MZ generation, such as releasing 16 types of TRUZ stickers on Line Messenger to 7 countries including Korea and Japan and also releasing them as Instagram augmented reality (AR) camera filters. TREASURE, which debuted in August last year, has sold over 1 million copies of the ‘THE FIRST STEP’ series album, showing the potential of a ‘rookie monster’.
