aespa Achieves Dual Success with ‘Supernova’ and ‘Armageddon,’ Proving Unstoppable Popularity

aespa has hit another global mega-hit milestone with their first full-length album ‘Armageddon.’ On June 6, aespa topped the Circle Weekly Chart’s Social Chart 2.0 for the period from May 26 to June 1. The double title tracks, ‘Supernova’ and ‘Armageddon,’ have achieved significant success, with ‘Supernova’ leading the Global K-pop Chart, Digital Chart, and Streaming Chart, while ‘Armageddon’ secured the number one spot on the Retail Album Chart, making aespa five-time chart-toppers.

Furthermore, aespa’s ‘Supernova’ earned five trophies on various music shows, including Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’ on May 23 and 30, MBC’s ‘Show! Music Core’ on May 25 and June 1, and SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’ on May 26. The album ‘Armageddon’ also clinched its first win on June 5 on MBC M and MBC every1’s ‘Show! Champion,’ bringing the total to six music show wins for this album.

Internationally, ‘Supernova’ has climbed to number 6 on the Billboard Global Chart (excluding the U.S.) and 17 on the Global 200 Chart, setting a new personal best for aespa. ‘Armageddon’ also charted at 29 and 55, respectively, marking both title tracks’ success on global charts.

In China, aespa continues to enjoy immense popularity. They have maintained the number one spot for four consecutive weeks on the ‘K-POP Chart,’ a new integrated chart by Tencent Music, which includes streaming and digital album sales from QQ Music, Kugou Music, Kuwo Music, Budien Music, and JOOX.

In addition, aespa will embark on their second world tour, ‘2024 aespa LIVE TOUR – SYNK : PARALLEL LINE –,’ starting with performances at Seoul’s Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium on June 29 and 30. The tour will continue through Fukuoka, Nagoya, Saitama, Singapore, Osaka in July; Hong Kong, Taipei, Tokyo, Jakarta, Sydney in August; and Melbourne, Macau, Bangkok in September. The tour will further expand to North America and Europe in early next year.
