Blackpink surpasses 1.3 billion views of ‘Kill This Love’ following ‘Ddu-du-du-du’

Blackpink’s ‘Kill This Love’ music video has exceeded 1.3 billion views on YouTube. According to YG Entertainment on the 22nd, Blackpink’s ‘Kill This Love’ music video exceeded 1.3 billion YouTube views at 1:39 pm on the same day (local time in Korea).  
Blackpink became the first K-pop group to have two music videos with over 1.3 billion views. Earlier, their other mega hit song ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ reached 1.3 billion views, and this music video currently has 1.6 billion views. The music video for ‘Kill This Love’ is bridging the gap with ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’, which has been writing various new records. Actually, the period of reaching 1.3 billion views of this’Kill This Love’ is about 35 days faster than ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ in 2 years and 1 month. ‘Kill This Love’ is a powerful song with strong lead brass and magnificent drum sound. After release, ‘Kill This Love’ reached 24th, 41st, and 33rd on the UK official single chart top 100 on the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 respectively, breaking a new record for a K-pop girl group at the time.
