Blackpink’s “Whistle”, 200 million streaming on Spotify… 10th overall

 

Blackpink is blowing the global popular ‘whistle’ by steadily increasing the number of billions of streaming on Spotify, the world’s largest music platform. 

According to YG Entertainment, Blackpink’s debut song “Whistle” officially surpassed 200 million streams on Spotify on the 2nd.  It is Blackpink’s 10th 200 million streams on Spotify alone. 

Among them, “Kill This Love” and “How You Like That” surpassed 400 million streams, setting new records for the first and shortest period of K-pop girl groups, and “Forever Young,” “Don’t Know What To Do,” “Pretty Savage,” “Stay,” “Bet You Warner,” and “On The Ground” are all streaming songs by Blackpink.  It is noteworthy that “Whistle” is still receiving attention from global fans, along with the latest song, about five years after its release. 

Blackpink reached the top for 16 consecutive days by “Perfect All Kill” on the real-time, daily and weekly charts of major music sites in Korea when it debuted with “Whistle.” 
Along with YouTube, Blackpink’s presence in Spotify, which is leading the global music market, is growing.
